Configuration interface - codeless development

The List Form web part can be placed in any web part zone, it can even be used to replace the standard SharePoint form on the 'newform.aspx' 'editfrom.aspx' or the 'uplaodform.aspx' pages. Designers can edit the form directly in SahrePoint by selecting ezEdit.

The List Form can be connected to any list or document library and be set in either 'Display' (for the display of content) Edit (for editing content) or New (to create new items) mode.

Clicking Edit in the 'Form Layout' gives the designer access to freely configure the number and type of tabs in the form. Tabs can be assigned SharePoint user groups that can control who gets to see the tab and the associated fields. This allows the designer to craft the form so that form filler only gets to see the fields required at that particaular stage. This allows approves comments, auditors, back office, private and persoanl details to be managed via the forms interface.

Clicking Edit in the 'DisplayLayout' gives the designer access to freely configure the each field,and what tab it is connected to and how it funtions in the form.

Each field has many possibliities in terms of how it can be configured. Many of these settings will be disucssed in some detail in other sections of this article.
